OT Bond Universal is a self-etch, single-component, light-curing adhesive engineered for outstanding versatility. It delivers reliable bonding to dentin, enamel, composites, glass ceramics, and metal, making it an ideal all-in-one solution for modern restorative dentistry. Formulated with 10-MDP, phosphoric acid methacrylate esters, and maleic acid-modified methacrylates, OT Bond Universal gently etches dentin and enamel in an aqueous environment, creating both chemical and micromechanical retention. These active monomers chemically interact with hydroxyapatite, forming durable bonds with calcium ions. During application, the smear layer is dissolved, and intertubular dentin is partially demineralized, while the adhesive penetrates deep into the tubules to form strong resin tags. The result is a stable hybrid layer and long-lasting adhesion between tooth structure and restorative material.
